If your website is hosted on a shared hosting, you will have to contact us to check whether a specific port is opened or not.
For Windows VPS, you can check open ports from Windows firewall. Depending on your server’s configuration, we open necessary ports using Windows firewall. If you have installed third party firewall, please refer its manual to check and manage open ports. If you want to open any specific port using Windows firewall, you can refer to our KB article.
For Linux VPS, we install firewall on request (for cPanel server). If there is no firewall, you do not need to open any specific port. If you have requested to install firewall on your VPS, you will be able to manage open ports from WHM. We install “ConfigServer Security & Firewall†on cPanel VPS (on request). If you have installed other firewall, please refer their manual to check open ports.
