Below mentioned are the steps to reset the password of SmarterStats, in case, if you forget the password:
Login to Your Windows Server via Remote Desktop
Go to Start Menu -> Administrative Tools -> Services.
Locate the SmarterStats Service and Stop the service.
Open My Computer.
Go to C:\Program Files\SmarterTools\SmarterStats.
Open the Directory MRS.
Open the Directory App_Data.
Open the Directory Config.
Backup a copy of the file AppConfig.xml.
Open AppConfig.xml file in Notepad to edit.
Find the below section in the file: <SmarterStatsAdmin> ... </SmarterStatsAdmin> <SmarterStatsPassword /> <SmarterStatsPasswordEnc> ... </SmarterStatsPasswordEnc>
Remove the above entries from the file AppConfig.xml and save the file.
Start the SmarterStats Service.
Browse SmarterStats and enter below default details to login to SmarterStats: SiteID: admin Username: admin Password: admin
